The Simple Future

O futuro simples expressa uma promessa, determinação ou uma ação inevitável. É formado pelo auxiliar do futuro “will” (para todas as pessoas) e pelo verbo principal no infinitivo sem “to”.Ex.

Observe os exemplos:

The room will become clear if you turn on the lights. (A sala ficará clara se você acender as luzes)

The scientist will cut that metal with a laser Ray. (O cientista cortará aquele metal com um raio laser)

The laser will be useful as a means of communication.

Affirmative form (forma afirmativa)

{sujeito + will+ verb infinitivo sem “to” + complemento }

I will work in an automobile company next year

You will work in an automobile company next year

He will work in an automobile company next year.

She will work in an automobile company next year

It will work in an automobile company next year

We will work in an automobile company next year

You will work in an automobile company next year

We will work in an automobile company next year

You will work in an automobile company next year

They will work in an automobile company next year

Negative form (forma negativa)

{ sujeito + Will+ not + verbo no infinitivo sem “to” complemento}

A forma negativa tem a mesma seqüência da afirmativa, isto é, o auxiliar will antes do verbo principal, porém seguido de not. A forma negativa contracta de will + not é won’t. Ex.

We won’t (will+ not) have time to go there. (Nós não teremos tempo para chegar lá)

She won’t (will+ not) invite him to the party. ( Ela não o convidará para a festa)

Interrogative form (forma interrogativa)

{Will + sujeito +verbo no infinitivo sem “to” + complemento?}

Obtém-se a forma interrogativa do futuro colocando-se o auxiliar will antes do sujeito. Ex. Will the passengers be on time for the flight? (Os passageiros chegarão em tempo para o vôo?)

Will she invite him for the party? (Ela o convidará para a festa?)

Short Answers ( Respostas curtas )

Resposta afirmativa: ( Yes + sujeito + Will )

Ex: Yes, they Will

Yes, she Will

Resposta Negativa: ( no + sujeito + Won´t )

Resposta negativa: ( no + sujeito + Won´t )

Ex: no, they won´t

No, she won´t
